2nd Annual Wild and Scenic Film Festival
Thursday, February 17, Centennial Hall- Ballroom 3
Children’s Film Festival: 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm
All-ages Festival: 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
The Wild and Scenic Film Festival returns to Juneau on Thursday, February 17th at Centennial Hall.  This year we've added a family-friendly "Kid's Festival" from 6:00 - 7:00 pm with activities and short films just for kids! The all-ages festival starts at 7:00 pm with several short environmental films and our feature film, "Eastern Rises". Eastern Rises is an award winning film by Felt Soul Media, the same guys who brought us “Red Gold”, and is a humorous tale of fly fishing in the Russian Far East.

Enjoy beer, wine, soda, and snacks while watching the show, hosted by our friends, the Alaskan Brewing Company and the Rendezvous Bar. We'll be giving away door prizes and sponsor goodies too!

Tickets for the event are $10 for adults, $5 for students through UAS, and children under 5 are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Hearthside Books or at the door. All proceeds benefit the Juneau Watershed Partnership and your local watersheds. For more information go to www.juneauwatersheds.org

Southeast Alaska Salmon and Trout:
A $1 Billion Dollar Economic Engine

Trout Unlimited, Alaska
This economic study commissioned by Trout Unlimited Alaska highlights the value of salmon and trout fisheries and hatcheries to Southeast Alaska. Although the economic contribution of Southeast Alaska’s salmon and trout resources to commercial and recreational fisheries have been previously studied, the goal of this study was to conduct a more holistic review of the contribution of trout and salmon resources to the region, including subsistence and personal use fisheries.
