Slash the Trash!
Bears are dragging bags of trash down to Jordan Creek. Used diapers, plastic containers, cigarette butts, and feminine supplies are now in the forest and creek, and not in our landfill.
You can help prevent bears from trashing out Jordan Creek by properly storing your household garbage.
- Keep your garbage airtight and odor free.
- Use bear-resistant trash containers.
- Store your garbage inside until pickup day or until you can dispose of it yourself at the landfill.
If your garbage has attracted bears and you fail to take steps to legally store your garbage, you could be cited by the City and face a minimum of a $50 fine
